Football: Tesoro makes its coach proud

Tesoro Coach Brian Barnes felt badly that his team had come so close but fell short, 20-17, to Long Beach Poly in the Pac-5 Division final, but Barnes left Angel Stadium with his head held high in respect for his players.

‘I asked our kids to leave everything on the field, and they did,’ Barnes said. ‘We deserved to be here and we’re going to be an Orange County power.’
