Football: Bowl crowd was largest in three years

The attendance at Home Depot Center on Dec. 20 for the CIF state Division III, II and open bowl games was 14,122, the largest in the three years the event has been held.

Last year’s final drew 12,505 and the inaugural games in 2006 brought out 13,683. When including the 7,581 from the Dec. 19 Division I and small schools final, the two-day total was 21,703.
