On Friday, Fairfax is scheduled to play San Diego in a tournament game at Jenny Craig Pavilion that’s supposed to be aired on national TV, but that could be in doubt because of the continuing controversy surrounding the San Diego program.

San Diego’s head coach, Kenny Roy, and assistants Jerome Sherman and Clayton Williams have been placed on administrative leave ‘to protect the integrity of our athletic program,’ Superintendent Terry Grier told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The program has been under investigation after three touted college prospects transferred in, two from Oklahoma and one from Temecula. All have been declared ineligible by the CIF and have been fighting the decision in the courts.

Just another day in the wacky world of high school basketball.
