Boys’ basketball: Mater Dei improves to 18-0

On national TV on Monday, Santa Ana Mater Dei improved to 18-0 with an 86-61 victory over Chicago Young in a tournament game in Springfield, Mass.
Travis Wear scored 24 points and his twin brother, David, added 18 points. ESPNU televised the game. Mater Dei is scheduled to fly back Tuesday night and will play St. John Bosco on Wednesday.
