Boys’ basketball: Golden Valley goes from 0-10 to champs

Santa Clarita Golden Valley completed a remarkable turnaround on Thursday, going from 0-10 the previous year to Foothill League champions with an 84-66 victory over West Ranch.

Trevor Wiseman, a 6-foot-6 junior who was a point guard a year ago, scored 31 points playing center for the Grizzlies (24-3, 9-1).

Don’t be surprised if Golden Valley makes a run at a Southern Section Division III-A championship.
