Boys’ basketball: Freshman leads Crespi into semifinals

Freshman Michael Avery scored 16 points to help Crespi hold off Santa Clara, 59-58, in a Southern Section Division IV-A semifinal game. Crespi will be the home team against Los Angeles Price on Friday in the semifinals. The other semifinal has Chaminade taking on Oaks Christian.
