Members of the class of 2010 can’t sign letters of intent for football until next February, but running back Melvin Davis of Harbor City Narbonne decided to end the recruiting process Monday by announcing he had committed to Washington, according to Gauchos assistant coach Byron Moore Sr.

Davis is a 6-foot-2, 230-pound bruiser who came on strong last season in helping Narbonne finish as City co-champion.
