Boys’ basketball: Gahr 58, Harvard-Westlake 56

At the end of three quarters, Gahr is leading Harvard-Westlake, 58-56, in the Southern Section Division III-A final at the Honda Center.

Freshman Anthony Martinez made a three-pointer with 3:40 left to give Gahr its biggest lead, 54-48. But Harvard-Westlake rallied behind reserves Nick Firestone and Keith Black, going on an 8-0 run. Firestone’s three-pointer tied the game at 54-54.

Harvard-Westlake needs to get its top shooter, Austin Kelly, back in the game. He has made just three of 13 shots.
