Boys’ basketball: Ariza gives thumbs up to Westchester

Lakers forward Trevor Ariza, who won a state Division I title playing for Westchester in 2002, will be rooting for the Comets this weekend when they play Oakland McClymonds in the Division I final Saturday night at Arco Arena in Sacramento.

Asked whether Westchester will win this weekend, Ariza said, ‘Come on now. That’s home to us up there.’
