Orange County is loaded with outstanding pitchers this season, and they were on display Friday, with the best, Tyler Matzek of Capistrano Valley, throwing a no-hitter in a 4-0 victory of Aliso Niguel.
Chad Thompson of El Toro threw a two-hitter in his team’s 5-0 victory over Trabuco Hills. And Kurt Heyer of Edison threw a five-hitter in his team’s 11-0 win over Esperanza.
