Baseball: West Ranch wins Foothill opener

There’s a new powerhouse in the Foothill League, and it’s West Ranch, which defeated Hart, 8-0, Friday in its league opener.

Trevor Fredrickson struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings. Devin Rodriguez had his 28-game hitting streak come to an end for Hart.
