Boys’ basketball: Westchester takes control

SACRAMENTO _ Thanks to cold shooting by Oakland McClymonds, Westchester is holding a 24-11 halftime lead in the state Division I final at Arco Arena.
McClymonds must be having flashbacks to the 2007 state final in which Fairfax won, 54-29. The Warriors made 11 of 49 shots in that game. On Saturday night, they missed 20 of their first 21 shots and ended the half three for 28.
Dwayne Polee Jr. has contributed three baskets for Westchester as part of a balanced attack.
