SACRAMENTO _ Westchester (35-2) dominated from start to finish to win the state Division I title with a 49-31 victory over Oakland McClymonds at Arco Arena.

It was Westchester’s fifth state Division I title, and Coach Ed Azzam is now 5-0 in state championship games.

The scary news is that Westchester is loaded with talented juniors, from Dwayne Polee Jr. to Jordin Mayes. The wall in the gym at Westchester that already contains 10 Ciy Section titles and four state titles is getting crowded.

Dominique O’Connor, the City Section player of the year who celebrates his 18th birthday on Monday, led Westchester with 16 points. Polee had a big game with nine points and 10 rebounds.

McClymonds made just 10 of 49 shots.
