Baseball: Booth leads El Camino Real to victory

Michael Booth hit a two-run home run and also threw five shutout innings as Woodland Hills El Camino Reall (13-5, 3-2) defeated Birmingham, 14-0, in a West Valley League game that was stopped because of the mercy rule. Travis Keppel also hit a two-run home run for the Conquistadores.

In another West Valley League game, Taft defeated Granada Hills, 9-1, to earn its first West Valley win. Taft is 7-10 overall and 1-4 in league.
