There’s no embellishing how good Huntington Beach Edison sophomore pitcher Henry Owens might be by the time he’s a senior.

This season, Owens is 6-0, and he threw a no-hitter earlier this week against Fountain Valley, striking out 10 and walking two.

He’s 6-foot-5 and wears size 17 shoes.

Baseball fans in Orange County should be getting excited because next week, Edison (15-2, 8-0) and Huntington Beach Marina (17-2, 7-1) are scheduled to play in a two-game series, first at Marina on Wednesday and at Edison on Friday. There should be some great pitching.

Owens is scheduled to pitch on Wednesday in what figures to be his biggest test of the season.
