Simi Valley extended its Marmonte League lead to two games on Wednesday after defeating Moorpark, 5-0, behind a four-hitter by Drew Sandler. Second-place Royal lost to Calabasas, 2-1.
Sandler, headed to UC Irvine, struck out six and walked none to help the Pioneers improve to 16-7 overall and 8-2 in league.
