For the second time this season, Simi Valley Royal turned to its two professional pitching prospects, Bryan Berglund and Cody Buckel, and they delivered against rival Simi Valley.

Berglund gave up two hits in six innings, and Buckel got the save Wednesday in a 1-0 victory over the Pioneers. But Simi Valley (20-8, 11-3) still wins the Marmonte League championship, with Royal (19-6, 10-4) finishing second.

SImi Valley used pitchers by committee and even pulled Drew Sandler, who had a no-hitter for four innings. The only run came on a ground out in the fifth inning. Royal was limited to two hits.
