Pitcher Kailee Cuico’s two-run home run in the fourth inning Wednesday propelled top-seeded San Pedro to a 4-1 victory over fourth-seeded Granada Hills in a City Section semifinal at San Pedro.

This is the second consecutive year San Pedro (27-4) has eliminated Granada Hills (27-7) in a semifinal, the Pirates winning by a 2-0 margin last year. San Pedro will advance to the championship against sixth-seeded Wilmington Banning at 4:15 p.m. May 27 at UCLA.
