Baseball: Chatsworth wins its ninth City Section championship

Chatsworth won its ninth City Section Division I baseball championship overall, third in a row and eighth under Coach Tom Meusborn Saturday with a 9-0 victory over Reseda Cleveland at Dodger Stadium.

An eight-run fourth inning that featured a three-run home run from catcher Carlos Escobar Jr. lifted the Chancellors (30-4) to victory. Escobar also had a single and double.

Left-hander Mike Renner (10-2) gave up two hits.
