Baseball: Top underclassmen set to play this weekend in Compton

Many of the top high school baseball players who are sophomores or juniors in Southern California will be competing this weekend in the Southwest Future All-Star Games at the Urban Youth Academy in Compton.

Games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Hart Coach Jim Ozella and Alemany Coach Randy Thompson are directing a team that is supposed to include 16-year-old Bryce Harper, who’s featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Harper is from Las Vegas.
