Baseball: West Ranch is seeded No. 1 for VIBL playoffs

The Valley Invitational Baseball League starts its playoffs on Thursday, with Valencia West Ranch seeded No. 1, Moorpark No. 2, Chatsworth No. 3 and Encino Crespi No. 4.

There are 31 teams in the tournament, with the championship game on July 31 at Birmingham. It’s interesting that Crespi opens the playoffs against its neighborhood rival Sherman Oaks Notre Dame. Most of the games start at 5 p.m. Thursday.
