Boys’ basketball: King arrives at Mater Dei

Classes have started at Santa Ana Mater Dei, and one of its new students is 6-foot-5 senior guard Keala King, a transfer from Compton Dominguez.

King was expected to enroll at Mater Dei, and now that he has, it will be up to him and the school to prove to the Southern Section that he was not recruited. If so, he’ll be eligible to play for the Monarchs with a change of residence.
