Football: Crenshaw-Lakewood should be exciting

I’m at Crenshaw High for what should be one of the best games of the 2009 season. The Cougars and all their speed get to take on Lakewood, which has USC-bound quarterback Jesse Scroggins. Another future Trojan, defensive back Dion Bailey of Lakewood, has been sidelined with a groin pull but finally got to practice on Wednesday.

Crenshaw sent a message in the junior varsity game, winning, 48-0. I’ll be providing blog updates for the varsity game that begins at 7 o’clock.
