After Oaks Christian got on the scoreboard following a recovered fumble, Alemany tied the game a drive after an interception.

Warriors defensive back Malcolm Marable intercepted Nick Montana‘s pass near Alemany’s 30-yard line and marched to the Lions’ 45-yard line. Two plays later, Alemany quarterback Vernon Adams connected with wide receiver Fred Wilfong on a 23-yard touchdown pass. The extra point tied it up, 7-7, with 2:08 remaining.
