San Juan Capistrano St. Margaret’s has the state’s longest winning streak at 44 games, but the team faces a tough test from San Diego Francis Parker on Friday.

Coach Harry Welch, who’s 30-0 since taking over at St. Margaret’s, said of Parker, ‘They might win the Foothill League. They’re about the same size as Oaks Christian, and they can play with Oaks Christian.’

Welch said his team will be at a disadvantage because seniors will be away at a retreat on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

‘The schedule maker for this game should be fired,’ Welch said. ‘It was stupid to schedule them this week.’
