There aren’t many junior receivers in Southern California better than Victor Blackwell of Mater Dei, and he showed off his speed, catching a 57-yard touchdown pass from Max Wittek, giving the Monarchs a 14-7 lead over Edison with 10:13 left in the first quarter.
