Game blogging: St. Bonaventure at Bishop Amat

No. 4 Ventura St. Bonaventure remains the heavy favorite with CalPreps picking them to win by 24 points in tonight’s game at 7:30 against La Puente Bishop Amat.

It’s with good reason.

The Seraphs are 4-0, have a 14-game winning streak dating back to last season and are two-time Northern Division/CIF State Div. III champions. Lancers Coach Steve Hagerty said recently an upset would be similar to the “Miracle on Ice.”

Hagerty, whose team is 3-0 but remains untested in the Serra League, can point to last year’s 47-39 upset over Orange Lutheran as inspiration.
