Jeff Kearin, whose resignation as Los Angeles Loyola football coach was announced Saturday, said today that he needed to devote full-time attention to his family after being divided between coaching and family responsibilities.

‘I made the decision for me and my family,’ he said. ‘I wasn’t being as attentive to the program as I should be.’
