Talk about impact transfers. Woodland Hills Taft, which has gotten plenty in basketball, just picked up Westlake Village quarterback Michael Bercovici, who showed up over the weekend.

Bercovici was sharing time at Westlake with Nick Isham, a transfer from Oaks Christian via Chaminade, and it only figured that one of them was going to leave because both were juniors.

Whether Bercovici is eligible this season remains to be seen, but he has lots of talent and should fit in nicely for the Toreadors, who are scheduled to unveil another transfer, former Agoura and Crespi standout Lucky Radley, on Friday against Gardena Serra.

Taft Coach Matt Kerstetter said Bercovici showed up for classes today. He’s living in an apartment next to Taft. As for playing against Serra, Kerstetter said, ‘I don’t know if anyone can learn our offense in three days.’

And Kerstetter said that Bam Goodall, a three-year starter, remains Taft’s quarterback.
