Football: Los Alamitos-Narbonne ready to begin

For the first time this football season, I’m wearing a jacket before a game begins. There’s a little breeze at Long Beach Veterans Stadium, where unbeaten Los Alamitos, ranked No. 9 by The Times, will take on Narbonne from the City Section.

Can another City team knock off a Southern Section power? How good is Narbonne quarterback Chad Dashaw? Is Los Alamitos the best in the Sunset League? Should unbeaten Huntington Beach Edison, with a 2-13-1 record vs. Los Alamitos Coach John Barnes, be worried?

I hope to find out some answers tonight and will provide updates.
