Football: Valencia 35, Loyola 14

Valencia, ranked No. 18 by The Times, improved to 5-0 with a 35-14 victory over Loyola (2-3). Steven Manfro put the finishing touch on the night with a 44-yard touchdown run late in the game.

Quarterback Alex Bishop completed 14 of 17 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns.

‘We didn’t execute to the level we should have,’ said Adam Guerra, Loyola’s interim coach.
