Football: Narbonne 23, San Pedro 22

Narbonne’s defense held San Pedro to a safety in the second half en route to pulling out a 23-22 Marine League road victory in a battle between last year’s City finalists.

Key sacks in the second half by Taylor McDaniel and Devon Wallace paced the Gauchos (3-3). Quarterback Chad Dashnaw completed 14 of 24 passes for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Melvin Davis rushed for 130 yards and scored one touchdown.

San Pedro quarterback Ron Galosic, after passing for 168 yards in the first half, was limited to 27 yards in the second half. Chase Clayton had two interceptions and two touchdown catches for San Pedro (4-2).
