By knocking off Fountain Valley, 31-22, Thursday night, Los Alamitos (8-2, 3-2) greatly helped its chances of earning a Pac-5 Division playoff berth.
Nick Richardson rushed for 160 yards in 38 carries. Shaquille Richardson caught seven passes for 113 yards. Dylan Lagarde passed for 170 yards. The Griffins rallied from a 10-0 deficit.
Fountain Valley (8-2, 3-2) got 157 yards rushing from Kyle Middlebrooks, who scored three touchdowns.
