Football: Los Alamitos needs a win tonight

Los Alamitos started the season 5-0 and looked like a threat to make noise in the Pac-5 Division, but the Griffins could find themselves not even making the playoffs if they don’t win tonight against Fountain Valley.

Los Alamitos is 7-2 overall and 2-2 in league. A loss to Fountain Valley would drop the Griffins into fourth-place and hoping to receive the Pac-5 Division’s lone wild-card berth.

But one of the Serra League teams _ Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, La Puente Bishop Amat or Encino Crespi _ is likely to get the berth because of a stronger schedule.

So let’s see what the Griffins can do tonight.
