Football: Mission Viejo closing the second half on a good note

The Diablos are about to head into the locker room feeling good with their first-half performance.

Mission Hills Viejo leads 28-9 with 1:55 after wide receiver Joey Branker converted on a 74-yard touchdown pass and the Diablos converted on the extra point. Branker’s touchdown illustrated his lightning speed. He shifted direction around Dana Hills’ 47-yard line and marched down to the near side of the field, breaking numerous tackles before going into the end zone.
