Woodland Hills Taft has a 44-14 lead over Garfield with six minutes left, but the first-round playoff game is proving costly.

Running back D.J. Morgan of Taft went down with a possible serious knee injury in the third quarter and didn’t return. Already out with a possible concussion is Taft quarterback Bam Goodall.

Morgan, who has committed to USC and is considered the No. 1 hurdler in the nation for his age, was injured on a run.
