Los Alamitos was in prime position to score. But the Long Beach Poly defense buckled down.
On second-and-three at the Jackrabbits’ nine-yard line, Griffins tailback Nick Richardson fumbled at the seven-yard line and Long Beach Poly lineman Ryan Edwards recovered the football with 4:42 remaining in the second quarter.
The score remains tied at 7-7.
