Locke picked up five first downs on its first drive but came away with no points thanks to an interception by defensive back Dwan Gill at Carson’s 2-yard line.

After picking up one first down, Carson was forced to kick, but Arthur Dyson recovered a muffed punt to give the Colts the ball back at Locke’s 43-yard line.

Justin Alo’s 23-yard pass to Myles Johnson put Carson inside the 10 and Alo scampered around left end for a 7-yard touchdown on third-and-goal. Juan Sanchez added the extra point. Carson leads 7-0 with 1:45 left in the first quarter.
