Mission Viejo marched 67 yards in nine plays to open the second half, ending with a 9-yard run by Exavier Edwards that has given the Diablos a commanding 28-0 lead over Notre Dame in tonight’s Pac-5 Division quarterfinal.

The key play was a 21-yard pass from Dallin McEwen to Joey Branker.

Notre Dame picked up one first down on the ensuing drive but had to punt the ball back to Mission Viejo, which takes over at its own 13-yard line with five minutes left in the third quarter.
