Connor Loftus made a 25-yard field goal with 1:44 left in the first quarter to pull Servite to within 6-3 of Mission Viejo.
Quarterback Cody Fajardo had little trouble guiding the Friars’ offense down field until the drive stalled at the Mission Viejo eight-yard line.
Fajardo had a 24-yard pass to Rudy Guerrero and a 14-yard run.
