Boys’ basketball: Lonnie Jackson is the man for Valencia

It’s too bad Valencia has a semifinal football playoff game tonight, because the students won’t be able to watch the basketball team and junior guard Lonnie Jackson take on Clovis East in the 7 p.m. championship game of the Simi Valley tournament.

Jackson scored 32 points Friday night in Valencia’s 70-54 victory over Simi Valley. Pioneers Coach Christian Aurand knows all about Jackson’s ability. He coached him over the summer in club basketball.

Jackson is a Pac-10 guard in the making.
