Boys’ basketball: Loyola wins tournament

Los Angeles Loyola traveled to Sacramento this week to open the basketball season, and the Cubs are coming home champions after knocking off host Jesuit, 62-45. Guard Miles Cartwright was named tournament MVP. Ryan Oliver had 18 points Saturday for the Cubs.

In a nonleague game Saturday, Greg Parker scored 25 points to help Granada Hills defeat Reseda, 60-47.
