Cross country: Loyola’s Gedyon comes close

Elias Gedyon, the junior cross country standout from Los Angeles Loyola, finished second Saturday in the Nike cross country championships in Portland, Ore. He ran 15:09.50. The winner, Craig Lutz, from Texas, ran 15:09.20.
