Gardena Serra, ranked No. 6 by The Times, improved to 6-1 Thursday with a 68-59 victory over No. 13 Compton Centennial in the Ocean View tournament.

Vaughn Autry had 26 points and Keith Shamburger 24 for the Cavaliers, who figure to get even stronger when several football players join the team.
