Running back D.J. Morgan of Woodland Hills Taft said Thursday he has an appointment next week with a doctor to go over details of his torn ACL. He still has plans to have surgery and won’t be able to participate in track season.

He’s the nation’s top 110-meter hurdler, so his absence is a blow to the City Section. It was going to be a great spring, with Morgan and sprinters De’Anthony Thomas of Crenshaw and Tevin Carter of Santee.
