The slip and slide contest that is the Pac-5 Division championship game is under way.

And it certainly is sloppy.

Edison senior tailback Wade Houston fumbled the ball on the 25-yard line on the team’s first drive.

The Friars’ following drive featured senior quarterback Cody Fajardo making a miraculous 46-yard run to the two-yard line, despite his valiant attempt to dive head first into the end zone.

On the following play on first and two, Servite senior wide receiver Christopher Nicholls fumbled the ball and it went out of bounds. Servite settled for a 24-yard field goal two plays later from junior kicker Connor Loftus for the 3-0 lead with 2:28 remaining.
