Summit’s Maiya Michel just received word from her doctor that she should be able to play at the end of January.

Michel has been out of commission with knee trouble for the last three weeks. In her last court appearance on Dec. 5, the SkyHawks lost to El Dorado Hills Oak Ridge, 59-57, during the championship game at the Ladycat Classic tournament.

The University of Denver-bound post player averages a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds per game.
