Boys’ basketball: Etiwanda wears down Santa Monica

Etiwanda always plays a tough man-to-man defense under Coach Dave Kleckner, and the Eagles (8-4) wore down Santa Monica (5-5) Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the Oaks Christian tournament with a 50-42 victory.

USC-bound Byron Wesley, a 6-foot-5 junior, scored 14 points for Etiwanda. Aaron Crockett added 12 points. Etiwanda will play at 7 p.m. against the winner of Thousand Oaks-Richmond Salesian.
