Boys’ basketball: Lonnie Jackson’s 33 points leads Valencia

Junior guard Lonnie Jackson scored 33 points, including the game-winning basket on a 17-footer with two seconds left, to help Valencia defeat Lancaster, 60-59, in a quarterfinal game of the Chaminade tournament.

Valencia will face Calabasas on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the semifinals. Chaminade also earned a semifinal berth with a 55-53 victory over Newbury Park. Jamal McClerkin had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Eagles, who will meet Granada Hills at 6 p.m.

Granada Hills advanced to the semifinals with a 65-51 win over Eastside. Trevor Medina had 25 points for the Highlanders.
