No. 2-ranked Woodland Hills Taft (9-2) suffered a 49-41 loss to Newark Memorial in the semifinals of the National Division at the MaxPreps Holiday Classic in San Diego.
Pierson Williams had 15 points and Bryce Jones 11 points for the Toreadors.
